Description

ERO Architects is the architect-of-record for three of San Felipe-Del Rio (SFDR) CISD’s improvement projects. ERO designed a renovation for the High School dining commons, ceiling replacement and sprinkler system. The High School Campus Master is studying the optimal layout of classrooms and associated renovations and new spaces for an entrance, lobby, administrative area, library and performing arts center. The third project is a modern learning environment for 720 K-5th grade students. The elementary school is the first new facility for the district in this century.

The High School dining commons and ceiling improvements were a known need and the District moved forward with the project without the Campus Master Plan programming. The District is using the Campus Master Plan to develop classroom organizational cohesivity and spatial efficiencies delivering educational adequate facilities for the students. The District expects a plan that lays out a path forward for interior renovations and provides new construction for administrative operations. Other known new construction involves a new performing arts center offering a 500-seat auditorium and locker rooms and athletic fields. The Master Plan will be complete in October 2020 at which time construction documents for the performing arts center commence.

ERO is very excited to be a part of the SFDR CISD’s newest improvements and modernization in the community in a very long time.
