Description

ERO Architects is the architect-of-record for three of San Felipe-Del Rio (SFDR) CISD’s improvement projects. ERO designed a renovation for the High School dining commons, ceiling replacement, and sprinkler system. The High School Campus Master is studying the optimal layout of classrooms and associated renovations and new spaces for an entrance, lobby, administrative area, library, and performing arts center. The third project is a modern learning environment for 720 K-5th grade students. The elementary school is the first new facility for the district in this century.

Like most elementary schools, the new SFDR CISD facility will be a design-efficient, single-story, K-5th for a student and staff population of 720. The project is in the construction design phase. This October the District will consider Notice-to-Proceed approval leading to the Bid Phase at the end of January. A 14 to 16-month construction phase will follow. What is different about ERO’s elementary school design is the inclusion of a full-sized gymnasium, multiple computer labs, arts and music rooms, and a permanent stage in commons dining. The entrance to the school is through a vestibule and administrative offices and has access control.

ERO is very excited to be a part of the SFDR CISD’s newest improvements and modernization in the community in a very long time.
